Principal's Message
Dear Terraset Families,
Thank you for helping to ensure our first 3 hour early release Monday went as smoothly as possible! We appreciate that the majority of you did not make last minute changes to your child/ren’s dismissal plans after sharing with the school. Because of our partnership, we were able to keep every Tiger safe. For the next early release day, October 28, we will confirm your dismissal plans in the next few weeks.
Please join me this Sunday, September 29th, 2-4pm on Lake Anne Plaza as the SLHS PTSA Food Pantry hosts its 7th Annual “Do It Your Way 0.5K.” Join our community for lively music, pre-race warm-ups, sweet treats to put a little pep in your step, a raffle, prizes for most spirited and best dressed, all as part of the most rewarding 650 steps you’ll take all year. Register online here or in person the day of the event. All proceeds go directly toward food, toiletries, and other necessities for SLHS pyramid families in need.

🆕Terraset Site-Based Substitute Opening
We currently have an opening for an additional site-based substitute at Terraset. Site-based substitutes support all student-facing positions in the building. You must be a current FCPS substitute and have 30 or more college credits. See the FCPS website for more information about site-based substitute requirements.
🏕️Girl Scouts Troop Formation
Please join us for the Troop Formation Meeting on September 26th at 6:30 p.m. in the Dogwood Elementary School Cafeteria. You can contact the troop managers at sumanagers51.1@gmail.com with any questions!
🚲October 9 Is Walk, Bike, and Roll to School Day
Terraset will be participating in Walk, Bike, and Roll to School Day on Wednesday, October 9. Make sure that your child wears a helmet if biking or riding, and that younger students have an adult with them. Be safe–use sidewalks and crosswalks to get to school. Get together with your neighbors and walk or bike together! Walk, Bike, and Roll to School Day helps encourage physical activity and promote safe routes to school. We will meet at Door 5 for giveaways and we will take a picture with an administrator at 9:10.
🏃🏽SLHS PTSA Fundraiser

🏃🏽Friends of Reston Fall 5K
The Friends of Reston Fall 5k on Sunday, October 6 at Brown's Chapel Park is FOR's largest fundraiser of the year and it directly supports our Youth Scholarship and Enrichment Fund. One of the most impactful aspects of this fund is that it provides scholarships to RA Summer Camps. Through this and other initiatives FOR supports Reston kids, including Terraset Tigers! Please join us to run, walk, or stroll in support of our community.
Friends of Reston is a 501c3 that supports the Reston Association in charitable, educational and scientific projects. FOR is dedicated to ensuring RA residents can enjoy the full benefits of our community.

- TODAY: Fall Tiger Clubs begin! Clubs meet weekly after school until 5:00 pm. Parents, be sure to enter through Door 2 to sign out your student from their club.
- October 9: Walk, Bike and Roll to School Day - meet at Door 5 for giveaways and a photo before school!
- October 9: PTO Meeting, 6:30 pm in the cafeteria. K & 1st Grade parents, please plan to stay after to help quickly restock the staff lounge! Parents wishing to donate supplies to stock our staff lounge can shop our NEW seasonal wishlist here.
- October 10: Staff Appreciation lunch, please sign up to volunteer here
- October 16: Tigers on the Town at Chipotle in the South Lakes Shopping Center, 5-9 pm
