Brookfield's Educational Village Takes Shape

EV

Our Educational Village will be constructed over the next 4-6 weeks, depending on weather.  We will get electricity, fencing, ramps, and more.

We also learned that we'll keep about 3/4 of our field inside the track and one of the backstops/kickball fields during the construction.  Good news!

FCPS Early Release Mondays (ERM)

Brookfield had our first of seven Early Release Mondays this past week, and many of our students went home at 11:55 a.m. as planned.  Thank you!  The more students who can go home at 11:55 a.m. on these Early Release Mondays will allow for more planning time for our teachers to prepare engaging lessons for our students.  Here are the remaining Early Release Monday calendar dates for Brookfield as provided by FCPS:

  • October 28, 2024
  • December 9, 2024 (Changed from November 25)
  • February 24, 2025
  • March 17, 2025
  • April 28, 2025
  • May 19, 2025

Please note one change, there will NOT be an Early Release Monday in November, that has now moved to December 9th

Interims

Our Broncos are off to a great start this year, and we are already at the midway point in the 1st Quarter!  If your student’s teacher has identified an area of concern in Attendance, Citizenship, or Academics throughout these first six weeks, your student will receive an Interim Report in Tuesday folders to come home on Tuesday, October 1st.  Interim reports are a way for teachers to communicate with parents about areas for focus and growth for students before Report Cards are sent home at the end of each Quarter.  If your student receives an Interim Report and you’d like to know more, please contact your student’s homeroom teacher.  If you haven’t already, be sure to schedule your 1st Quarter Parent/Teacher Conference with your student’s homeroom teacher so you can say up to date and informed about your student’s progress in late October or early November.

📝 Sign and Return Student Rights and Responsibilities (SR&R) Document

This form needs to be electronically signed in SIS ParentVUE, or printed and returned with your student by Monday, September 30.

✨ The 2023-30 Strategic Plan — Goal 4: Equitable Access to Opportunities

strategic plan banner

FCPS’ 2023-30 Strategic Plan sets five main goals to create positive change in the division. These goals show where we should focus our attention and will help us align our efforts.

The fourth goal ensures all students have the same access to opportunities, no matter what school they attend. This includes academics and other programs that inspire and engage students and allow them to explore their passions and talents. See how Goal 4 is being put into practice.
