Updated form for 3-Hour Early Release, Oct 21st
Please complete this UPDATED survey by 10/15/24 to indicate how your child will be going home for our next early release Monday on 10/21/24. *If you have multiple children, please complete a form for each student.
We encourage all parents/caregivers to have their student take their normal route home (SACC, bus, walk, kiss and ride) on early dismissal days. While these are designated as early release days- where necessary, we will ensure that every student has supervision at the school and returns home at the regular time if that is what works best for your family.
FCPS is offering student supervision at no-cost to families for those who have unique childcare needs. Students will be supervised by FCPS school-based staff, substitute teachers, and central office staff.

Join Us for Morning Meeting and an AAP Parent Information Session
Join Us for Morning Meeting and to learn about Advanced Academics in FCPS! We invite you to visit your child’s classroom to see how we start each day. Morning Meeting is an engaging way to build a strong sense of community and belonging and set children up for social and academic success. Each morning, students and teachers gather in a circle for the first twenty minutes of the day to connect with one another through a Greeting, Sharing, Activity, and Morning Message. See first-hand how Morning Meeting is a critical part of each child’s day and the importance of being at school on time. We welcome you to join in and participate!
Join us for Coffee and Donuts in the cafeteria from 8:30am-8:45 am, then head to your child’s classroom for Morning Meeting. Pick the day that corresponds with your child’s grade level!

PTA News
Booster Wrap Up. Once again, we were humbled by the community support for our biggest fundraiser of the year. We are still collecting pledges at https://www.mybooster.com until the end of the week. We have raised over $60,000 for field trips, outdoor benches and picnic tables, color copiers, and classroom furniture at both schools, as well as for other school and PTA projects. Nearly 80% of the entire student population registered, and everyone was able to participate in the fun run and received a brand new shirt to wear. This fundraiser is a huge undertaking, and special thanks go to Sarah Maccubbin-Tremper, Jen Argenta, Lisa Anderson, and everyone else who volunteered throughout the program and on Fun Run day!
Our next Spirit Night is coming this FRIDAY. Code Ninjas is offering a Parents Night Out from 6-8:30PM on Friday, September 27th. Drop the kids (must be aged 7+) for a night of friends, pizza, Minecraft, and Roblox! $35/student - all proceeds will go to the KP/KG PTA.
Stay tuned for information on the KP Yearbook Cover Contest and our KP/KG Spiritwear sale!
