 Thanks for another great week at Lemon Road! Last week marked the completion of our first month. In only a short time our students have quickly jumped back into routines and learning is happening every day!
FCPS Student Rights and Responsibilities document (SR&R) explains expectations for student behavior and adult responses to enhance school safety and to create a fair, equitable, and supportive school environment. Parents/caregivers should talk to their child(ren) about behavior expectations at school or on the bus. Lemon Road administrators held an assembly the first week of school and will be following up with class visits throughout the fall.
We loved seeing all students and staff wear their polos on Friday! Thank you to everyone who remembered. Our Freaky Friday for the month of September will be Silly Sock day on Friday, September 27.

FCPS Required Early Release Plans: To plan for childcare needs during the early release Mondays, ALL families must complete this form for each of your children enrolled at Lemon Road.

Give Consent for Digital Resources for Your Child: Student consent forms previously available on ParentVue have been moved to the Parent Digital Consent System (PDC).
We are finalizing plans for the Early Release scheduled for Monday, September 23. The additional early releases were added to provide elementary teachers time for required Virginia literacy trainings.
SACC will not open early on September 23, but will open early for the remainder of the early release days this school year. All aftercare pick ups other than Brooksfield plan to pick up their children at 11:55 AM.
If you have not yet filled out this survey or previously marked unsure, please confirm your needs for childcare now. In order to plan for supervision, we need to know exact plans for each Lemon Road student. Students will follow their regular routes home (walk, bus, Kiss & Ride, or SACC) at 11:55 or 2:55.
Between 11:55 AM - 2:55 PM on these days, teachers will participate in professional development; students will be supervised by FCPS staff.
The school day at Lemon Road begins at 8:15. If your child is not riding the bus, please plan to arrive at 8:05. After the 8:15 tardy bell, caregivers must park and walk their child into the main office to provide a reason for the tardy arrival. Your child will be given a tardy slip to give their classroom teacher to change their absence in our attendance system. Students arriving by bus are not marked tardy. We encourage students to ride the bus, walk/bike to school, or use Kiss & Ride daily.
Caregivers dropping off their child by car must use Kiss & Ride. Children cannot exit a vehicle in a traffic lane in the parking lot or on Idylwood Road.
