Navy Update - 9.8.24

week 3

Ever wonder how our Navy News crew makes the magic happen? Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at our hardworking students as they prepare for the day’s newscast. From writing scripts to running the boards, our students do it all! A big thank you to Ms. McLaughlin and Ms. Benevides for supervising this talented team.

We also had an incredible turnout for last Wednesday's PTO fundraiser at Bruster's Ice Cream. It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces from the Navy community enjoying delicious ice cream on such a beautiful day!

September 11 National Day of Service

9-11

With the upcoming 23rd anniversary of September 11, FCPS acknowledges the loss of life, the heroism of our first responders, and the resilience of our country. The September 11 National Day of Service and Remembrance, also called Patriot Day, is a chance to reflect and act in service to others to honor those who were injured or killed in the terrorist attacks.

All FCPS students are encouraged to participate in service learning as it supports Portrait of a Graduate (POG) attributes and social and emotional learning (SEL) skills.
