Message from Mrs. Castillo

Dr. Reid

Lemon Road had a delightful third week of school!  We welcomed Dr. Reid on Tuesday who visited classes in each grade level (see photos below of her visit).  We loved having so many parents/guardians join us for Back to School Night on Wednesday.  Finally, on Friday, parents of our 5th graders visited the classrooms as students shared their "Museum of Me" artifacts that launch their study of culture.   Our classrooms are buzzing with excitement as students dive deeper into their learning.

I want to express my gratitude to our dedicated staff for their commitment to provide a nurturing and safe learning environment.  This week our educators and families felt the weight of news of another school shooting.  Safety of your children is of the utmost importance to us.  We continue to work with FCPS to ensure we follow all protocols and procedures at Lemon Road.

Thank you for your partnership ~ Mrs. Castillo
