Message from the Principal

Dear Wakefield Forest Families,

Our renovation is continuing to make great progress. Right now, we are scheduled for our next Fire Marshall inspection on September 16, 2024. If this inspection goes well, we will begin stocking and finalizing cleaning the gym, art rooms and stage. We are all excited to get into these beautiful new spaces.

Thank you.

Important Things to Know About Early Release Mondays

Our first early release Monday is Monday, September 16, 2024. Unless we have heard that your child requires childcare, they will be sent home based on your daily dismissal preference (bus, kiss/ride, walker, St. Matthew’s, JCC, Andrew Gause).

On early release Mondays:

  • The lunch schedule will be adjusted. No hot lunch will be available; however, a bagged lunch will be available for purchase.
  • We will not have recess.
  • Specials times may be at a different time and have been modified to 30 minutes to ensure all students have access to specials.
  • Schedules have been adjusted to prioritize literacy and math.
  • If your child is remaining after dismissal, they will be provided supervision by a mix of specialists, instructional assistants, substitutes and monitors.
  • Students who regularly attend St. Matthews, JCC, and Andrew Gause’s Martial Arts will be picked up during the first dismissal at 12:25 PM.
  • SACC has not yet confirmed if they will be available on the early release Mondays. We will communicate if this changes.

Picture Day is Tuesday, Sept 17

Individual student photos will be taken in September. You can order line using the information below. The paper version of this will be sent home in Thursday folders next week.
