Late Buses to Begin Mon., 9/9
Late buses will begin on Monday, Sept. 9th. Late buses will run on Mondays and Thursdays. Students may stay after for extra help, clubs, etc. Students must have a pass from the teacher/sponsor who they are staying after with in order to ride the late bus home. The late bus schedule will be posted in the main office with the drop-off adjustments (limited number of buses available for after school so drop off location may be different).
Upcoming Underclass Portraits - 9/11 & 9/12
Underclass portraits will be taken during PE classes for 9th & 10th grade students and English class for 11th grade students.
World Language Credit by Exam
Registration for the World Language Credit by Exam is now open. The registration window is from September 4th until Friday, October 4th.
The exam assesses proficiency in a language other than English and can help students earn up to three world language credits. These credits can be applied toward the meeting the world language requirement for the Advanced Diploma and may help students earn the Biliteracy Seal on their diploma. Students interested in registering for the exam should complete the parent consent form (linked below) and take the form to their school counselor who will complete the registration process.

PTSA Meeting - Sept 10
Our first PTSA meeting will take place on Tuesday, Sept.10th at 7:00pm in the library. There is a virtual option for the meeting as well - https://myfcpsk12.zoom.us/j/95359781962

Our mission is to support, engage, and advocate for our students, staff, and community. We are dedicated to creating a welcoming and accessible academic community through our programs, activities, and financial support. To make sure this happens we need your help and support. This can happen in several ways!
Attend a meeting!
Meetings are the 2nd Tuesday of each month. They start at 7:00 and are held in the CVHS library. It is a great way to interact with the principal, learn about school programs, and voice your opinions.
Become a member!
Thank you to all that have already become members! Memberships dues provide funding for staff appreciation events, educational grants, All Night Grad party, and scholarships. Students can be members also! Those that are members are eligible to apply for the PTSA scholarship in the Spring.
Tag Day - Sat., 9/14
2024 Tag Day is Saturday, September 14! Support the Centreville High School Music Department!
Our Band, Choral, and Orchestra students will be knocking on neighborhood doors on Saturday September 14 throughout the Centreville HS pyramid asking for your support of the CVHS music department. The donations are used to purchase uniforms, instruments, equipment and first-class guest Instructors.

Homecoming 2024
CVHS will be celebrating Homecoming the week of September 24-28. See the flyer for details on how to purchase Homecoming dance tickets. Parents are invited to please help volunteer at the Homecoming dance on September 28th - sign-up here or email jecable@fcps.edu with questions!
