Become a Room Parent for your student’s classroom!

Being a room parent is a special type of involvement in which you can enjoy a closer connection to your child’s teachers and other parents, and the feeling of knowing your efforts are needed and appreciated by the entire school. You can also establish yourself as a reliable member of your school community, and gain perspectives and experiences you wouldn’t otherwise have.

If you’re interested, please fill out the volunteer form: https://forms.office.com/r/WpNJ0jJQqK. Before volunteering, please read and understand the expectations Room Parents must meet and boundaries they must maintain: https://www.eagleviewespta.org/room-parents.

AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS

EVES Math Club

For the 2024-2025 School Year, we are proposing the establishment of our first Math Club & Math Olympiad Club for 5th and 6th grade mathletes. The objectives of these clubs are to teach multiple strategies for out-of-the-box problem solving, develop mathematical flexibility in solving those problems, and foster mathematical creativity and ingenuity. Both clubs will offer weekly meetings, and the Olympiad Club offers several non-compulsory competition opportunities. Club details may change as the program evolves.

We cannot have these clubs without parent interest and reliable volunteers to run it. We need at least two Math Club leaders and two Math Olympiad Club leaders (although they can be the same people). A few more volunteers acting as club assistants would be ideal.

If you would like to volunteer as a club leader or assistant, please email president@evespta.org. If you are interested in enrolling your student into a Math Club or Math Competitions, please fill out this form: https://forms.office.com/r/zPMjaA3MNb

Magnus Chess Academy

Not just FUN but also critical thinking, sportsmanship, and patience into chess club! Each week students of all levels do a fun but challenging lesson with one of our great coaches from our world class curriculum followed by practice games against other students in the class. Join the 100,000 (and counting!) kids who've learned chess with the official academy of 5x world champion Magnus Carlsen.

The Fall session is on Wednesdays, 10/9/24 - 12/4/24 from 4:15-5:15pm. No class on student holidays (11/27).

REFLECTIONS

ewew

EVES PTA is sponsoring the annual Reflections Art Contest. The goal of the Reflections program is to encourage all students to participate in the arts, regardless of their previous experience, and have fun unleashing their creativity. Recognizing our students’ participation and accomplishments will help our school community create memories that will last a lifetime. The Reflections program intends to grow students’ confidence in their creative vision, and help students value their artistic skills. All artwork must relate to this year’s theme: “Accepting Imperfection”.
