Students can earn an hour of service credit during school! The first Saxon Service of the school year is Fri, Sept 27 in the Cafeteria during Saxon Time. Saxon Service offers interested students the opportunity to engage in a variety of service learning projects while earning one hour of service learning credit. Options include:

Making bracelets to support Reading students at a Title 1 school

  • Playing freerice.comto help world hunger
  • Crafting beads from recycled cereal boxes for a school in Haiti

All students are encouraged to participate! While not required, students are encouraged to participate in some kind of service while at Langley. Students with at least 40 hours of service during high school (10 hours per year) are eligible to earn a Service Cord to be worn at graduation.
