Back to School Night
We look forward to seeing everyone at Back to School Night this Thursday, September 5th, 6-8 PM. If you are unable to attend, we will post our Back to School slides in Schoology after the event.
The following information will assist you in your planning:
- Please bring your child's schedule so you can visit his/her classes from 6 to 8 PM. You can access your child's schedule via SIS ParentVue and/or your child can share a paper copy of his/her schedule that they created during Rock Time today.
- First period begins at 6 PM and transition time is 4 minutes between classes.
- Parking is limited at Rocky Run MS. Additional parking is available at Greenbriar West ES. Carpooling and walking to this event is encouraged.
- Optional sessions begin at 5 PM including TJ Admissions Info Session, FLE presentation and ESOL department presentation.
- Counselors, After-school Specialist, Technology Specialist and Public Health Nurse will be available during the event.
TJHSST Admissions Information Session
Representatives from the Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology will be coming to RRMS to present information about 2024-25 admissions process on Thursday, September 5 at 5-6 PM (before our BTSN). Parents/guardians and students of current 8th graders who meet the course requirements (see eligibility requirements) are encouraged to attend. In addition, families of current 7th graders who are curious about the process may attend as well. Please fill out the google form to notify us of your attendance so that we may plan our space accordingly.
A YouTube video is posted on the TJ Admissions website and families are advised to view this prior to attending the presentation meeting. Admissions calendars and application process can be found here.
