Membership
Join HMS PTA! Memberships are another form of monetary donation. Help us reach 450 family memberships ($25). Your contribution will help us continue to provide valuable resources and experiences for our students. “Membership is open to anyone who believes in and supports the mission and purposes of National PTA including parents, caregivers, teachers, staff, students, grandparents, and community members.”

2022-2024 PTA Highlights and Successes
 Here are a few ways you can help support the PTA and the fabulous Herndon MS families:

Volunteer: Your time is invaluable. There are always opportunities to help with events, fundraisers, being on the board or other activities.

Donate: Consider making a financial contribution to support the PTA's initiatives.

Spread the Word: Encourage others to get involved and support the PTA's efforts.

Provide Feedback: Share your ideas and suggestions for new events or programs.

Here's a breakdown of the open PTA board and committee positions:
PTA Board Positions

Vice President: This role assists the president in leading the PTA and takes on specific responsibilities as assigned.

2nd Vice President: This position supports the vice president and president, often focusing on specific projects or events.

Secretary: The secretary is responsible for recording meeting minutes, maintaining correspondence, and handling administrative tasks.

Treasurer: The treasurer manages the PTA's finances, including budgeting, collecting dues, and paying bills.
PTA Committee Positions

8th Grade Activities Committee: This committee plans and organizes activities and events for 8th grade students.

Merchandise Committee: This committee oversees the sale of PTA merchandise and fundraising items.

Sports & After School Support Committee: This committee supports sports games and after-school programs.

Teacher & Staff Appreciation Committee: This committee organizes events and activities to show appreciation for teachers and staff.

Fundraising Committee: This committee develops and implements fundraising strategies to support the PTA's goals.

Advocacy Committee: This committee works to advocate for the needs of students and families to local and state officials.

LAST CALL! Visit our shop and order your swag to show spiritwear! Place your order now to have the items by the end of September. Fulfillments will be given to your student’s 4th period teacher.
Please tell us your student's name, school ID, and 4th period teacher during checkout.

Restaurant Nights
Location: North Point Village, Chick-fil-A
Come support Herndon MS this Friday, September 6th, 2024 and Herndon MS will receive a donation of 25% of mobile, dine-in and drive-thru sales.
