2022-2024 PTA Highlights and Successes
Here are a few ways you can help support the PTA and the fabulous Herndon MS families:

Volunteer: Your time is invaluable. There are always opportunities to help with events, fundraisers, being on the board or other activities.

Donate: Consider making a financial contribution to support the PTA's initiatives.

Spread the Word: Encourage others to get involved and support the PTA's efforts.

Provide Feedback: Share your ideas and suggestions for new events or programs.
By working together, we can create a thriving and supportive community for our students and families. Here's a breakdown of the open PTA board and committee positions:
PTA Board Positions

Vice President: This role assists the president in leading the PTA and takes on specific responsibilities as assigned.

2nd Vice President: This position supports the vice president and president, often focusing on specific projects or events.

Secretary: The secretary is responsible for recording meeting minutes, maintaining correspondence, and handling administrative tasks.

Treasurer: The treasurer manages the PTA's finances, including budgeting, collecting dues, and paying bills.
PTA Committee Positions

8th Grade Activities Committee: This committee plans and organizes activities and events for 8th grade students.

Merchandise Committee: This committee oversees the sale of PTA merchandise and fundraising items.

Sports & After School Support Committee: This committee supports sports games and after-school programs.

Teacher & Staff Appreciation Committee: This committee organizes events and activities to show appreciation for teachers and staff.

Fundraising Committee: This committee develops and implements fundraising strategies to support the PTA's goals.

Advocacy Committee: This committee works to advocate for the needs of students and families to local and state officials.
