Dear Eagle View Families,
We are thrilled to share that we had a successful start to the school year! We appreciate all the support from our parents and guardians in making this possible. Your involvement and encouragement are vital to our school's success, and we thank you for being such an integral part of our school community. Our students spent the first week getting to know their teachers, classmates, and the Eagle View common expectations.
To assist you in staying informed and ensuring a smooth school year, we have a Parent Toolkit page available on our website. This page contains essential forms that need to be updated annually, such as FLE Opt-Out forms, MySchoolBucks for lunch payments, a link to apply for free and reduced-price meals, the military-connected student form, and more. You can access the Parent Toolkit page here.
Additionally, our Parent-Student Handbook is a valuable resource for understanding school policies and procedures. Some important items to highlight include:
-
Snack Policy (p. 19)
-
Cell Phone Policy (p. 10)
-
Birthday Celebrations (p. 8)
You can access the full handbook here.
We also want to emphasize the importance of attendance. Regular attendance plays a crucial role in your child's educational experience, ensuring they have every opportunity to learn and grow. Please review our attendance policy.
Finally, follow us on Instagram at @eagleviewfcps to see what's happening at Eagle View!
Thank you again for your partnership. We look forward to a fantastic school year ahead!
Warm regards,
KJ An
Principal

FCPS has tools to help parents know more about their child’s activity on any FCPS device. These tools are provided at no cost to families by Lightspeed, the school division’s internet content filtering service.
Parents may sign up for a weekly Parent Report, which will provide a list of the top sites their child visited. The report also offers parents the ability to sign up for free access to the Internet Use Parent Portal. Through the portal, parents may pause their child’s access to the internet on their FCPS device during non-school hours.
Learn more about Lightspeed Parent Reports.
Please check with your healthcare provider as soon as possible to make sure your child is up-to-date on the immunizations required by the state of Virginia. Starting Monday, September 30, students who have not provided proof of immunization will not be allowed to attend school.
You can check your child’s immunization compliance and submit their immunization record in SIS ParentVUE. Records may also be delivered to our school’s front office.
If your child needs a vaccine, please make an appointment with your healthcare provider, visit the Fairfax County Health Department website for a list of child immunization clinics, or access other local services. If needed, you may also provide other immunization documentation including a healthcare provider’s written statement of a permanent or temporary medical exemption or a notarized Religious Exemption Form.
Find more information on immunizations on the FCPS website.
