Loudoun United Soccer Game, October 19th
Join your fellow Dranesville families as Loudoun United vs Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC, Saturday, October 19, 2024 at 5:45 PM. Celebrate during this Fan Appreciation Night & stay for the Post-Match Fireworks!

Dragon Days
Dragon Days are specific Fridays throughout the year where parents, guardians or family members can spend the day volunteering in school.

Therapeutic Arts Science & Growth Mindset Workshops
Fall 2024 Curriculum: Art of Doodling, Watercolor Wildflowers, Mystery Science, Self Compassion, Power of Poetry, Acrylic Art Game
Session 1 Dates: Wednesdays, September 4 - October 2, 4:15 - 6:00 p.m
Session 2 Dates: Wednesdays, October 9 - November 16, 2024, 4:15 - 6:00 p.m.
Ages: 6-12

Dragon Runners
Dragon Runners is a running program designed for 3rd-6th graders. This is an exciting program that is aimed at strengthening students in body and spirit by combining group activities with running.
Fall 2024 Dates: Monday & Wednesdays, 4:15 PM - 5:30 PM, September 16 2024 - November 18, 2024
Ages: 3-6th Grades

MLS GO After-School League
MLS GO is Major League Soccer’s recreational youth soccer program, with the mission of creating an inclusive and elevated experience for all participants! MLS GO will offer two after-school leagues at Dranesville this Fall, hosted by Overtime Athletics.
GRADES 1-3: Tuesdays, 9/24-11/19, 4:25-5:25 PM
GRADES 4-6: Thursdays, 9/19-11/21, 4:25-5:25 PM

Snapology
Snapology’s STEAM programs teach through building. Using LEGO® bricks, kids have fun while they learn. Snapology classes are designed based on research that shows children’s best learning experiences come from actively designing, creating, interacting, and inventing.
Dranesville will offer two Snapology sessions in the Fall of 2024:
Grades K-2 - Junior Engineers: Thursdays, 4:25 - 5:25 p.m., Sept. 19 - Nov. 7
Grades 3-6 - Amusement Park Engineering: Thursdays, 4:25 - 5:25 p.m., Sept. 19 - Nov. 7

Science Olympiad Volunteer Needed!
The PTA would love to launch the following programs this year:

Virginia Science Olympiad Coach Help form a team of students who will work together to compete in the Science Olympiad Tournament. The events change from year to year, covering fields and topics including: anatomy and biology, earth science, chemistry, physics, geology, mechanical and structural engineering, and technology. More about the program here!
In order to offer these opportunities to our students, we need a head coach to help get these programs started! You will have support from the PTA and the school. We’re super excited and hope you can help! Email president@dranesvillpta.com
