Notes from the Nest

In our SEES school community, we S.O.A.R., meaning that we demonstrate: Support, Optimism, Acceptance, and Responsibility.

We're thrilled to report that our first week back at SEES has been a resounding success! We've witnessed firsthand the incredible energy and enthusiasm of our students and staff.

Transportation Updates: We've added more bus routes and are making strides in optimizing our bus routes and kiss and ride procedures. Thank you for your patience as we work to streamline these processes.

SEES Soars! Our SEES school community continues to shine. Today's High Five Friday was a testament to the positive and supportive atmosphere we've cultivated.

As a reminder, in our SEES community, we S.O.A.R., meaning that we demonstrate: Support, Optimism, Acceptance, and Responsibility.

We're so proud of our students as they navigate the beginning of this new school year. We've already witnessed numerous acts of kindness and support as our children make new friends and help one another learn new routines.

On behalf of all our staff, we're delighted to have all our Eagles back in the nest! Welcome back!

Proud Principal

In Search of Storage Bags

Mr. Dexter and Mr. Donnelly are organizing their P.E. equipment (and planning for Field Day - details soon!) and have requested donations of the clear, vinyl, zippered storage bags that blankets/comforters often come in.  If you have one (or more) of any size, please send them in with your student.

Early Release Mondays

The Early Release Mondays planned throughout the school year for elementary schools are essential to allow educators time for planning and professional development.  Students will be dismissed 3 hours early seven times throughout the school year and are encouraged to return home via their normal route.  However, we understand there may be a childcare hardship because of the early release Mondays for many of our families.  To resolve these concerns, student supervision will be available for families who need it.

The following dates are planned for Early Release Mondays at SEES  throughout the school year:

  • September 16
  • October 21
  • November 18
  • February 10
  • March 10
  • April 21
  • May 12

To help plan for our school’s childcare needs during the early release Mondays, please complete this form: https://forms.gle/wofbemDHM6kHHPvT8 for each of your children who are enrolled at Springfield Estates Elementary. The form covers the first two early release Mondays, scheduled for September 16, 2024 and October 21, 2024. If you have multiple children, you will need to submit multiple forms. Staff will confirm the after school supervision plan for each student.
