4th Grade: We want your students on our Wakefield String Team for 2024-2025 school year!  If your student would like to be on our String team, please submit this form by Wednesday August 28, 2024 to indicate your student's participation in Strings for 2024-2025 school year.

Parents of 5th and 6th Graders must submit this form to indicate your child's participation in Band, Strings or Music Exploration for 2024-2025 school year. This form must be submitted even if your child will not be participating in Band or Strings. Three Hour Early Release Survey - IMPORTANT

Wakefield Forest will have a three hour early release on the following days:

  • September 16
  • October 21
  • November 18
  • February 10
  • March 10
  • April 21
  • May 12

Please complete the survey  to help us plan for families that require childcare.  Based on information I have to date, the JCC and SACC plan to open early on these dates to accommodate the families already accessing those services for afternoon childcare.


Here Comes the Bus - Mobile App

Welcome to Here Comes the Bus! Know when your bus is approaching your stop. Here Comes the Bus® app is a school bus tracking app that provides real-time bus location. This helps parents and students get to the bus stop on time. Here Comes the Bus® utilizes our GPS data and available on multiple devices.

Using the app is EASY! You will need the FCPS school district code 28982 and a Student Information System (SIS) Parent Account. Contact your child's school if you do not have an SIS Parent Account. Please be sure to follow the detailed instructions below.

The FCPS CARES Program is an opportunity for parents, staff, and community members to recognize FCPS employees for going above and beyond to help others and show they care. We invite you to submit your story, so we can all acknowledge the good work of FCPS employees.

Renovation Update

The art room and gym renovation are still in progress. We are hoping to open both of these spaces in September. This picture is one of the two art rooms we will have when the project is complete. 


Student Consent Forms

Student consent forms currently available on ParentVue will be moved to the Parent Digital Consent System (PDC). Families can log into the PDC using their ParentVue credentials to complete consent forms assigned to their child.  If you have a new ParentVue account, you must wait 24 hours after it is created to use the PDC.

WFES Alum is TIME Kid of the Year!

We are so proud of Heman Bekele! Our WFES alum, who is now a 10th grade student at Woodson HS, has created a soap that’s very cheap but also very effective at treating skin cancer. Read all about him and his work here:

Woodson Football Feeder Night is a fun family event. Students have the opportunity to run the field prior to the start of the game. Meet Ms. Prindle in the end zone at 6:30 PM in your WFES spirtwear!
