Message from your Principal
Dear Poe Families and Students,
Welcome back to another exciting school year! It is with great joy and anticipation that we extend our warmest greetings to each of you as we embark on this new journey together.
The start of a new school year brings a sense of renewal and opportunity. Our dedicated staff and I are thrilled to welcome both familiar faces and new members to our school community. Whether you are returning students or joining us for the first time, we are committed to providing a nurturing environment where every student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
As we begin this school year, our focus remains on fostering a supportive and inclusive community where every individual feels safe, valued and respected. We encourage open communication, collaboration, and active involvement from all members of our community—parents, guardians, students, and staff alike. Together, we can create enriching experiences and meaningful learning opportunities for our children.
Throughout the year, we look forward to celebrating achievements, overcoming challenges, and creating lasting memories together. Our school is not just a place of learning but a home away from home where friendships are formed, talents are discovered, and dreams are nurtured.
Please do not hesitate to reach out to our dedicated team if you have any questions, ideas, or concerns. We are here to support you and your child every step of the way.
Here's to a fantastic school year filled with growth, learning, and endless possibilities!

Dear parents,
Humanitas4All is opening its 1st quarter student registrations for HumScouts!
The Humanitas4All Hum Scouts After School Program is an online program dedicated to helping elementary and middle school students stay on track with learning during the school term. The goal of this program is to provide homework help, fun activities, positive character development, and support to young students and their families.
The HumScouts after school sessions are offered for students in grades K to 8th grade, and will occur after school via Google Meet. Students will be paired with mentors from Thomas Jefferson and Mclean High School, prepared with fun and educational activities for the classes. Students will also be able to work in small groups with other fellow classmates with similar academic backgrounds. HumScouts is completely FREE, and classes run every Monday and Friday from 4:30 - 5:30 pm.
If you are interested in registering your child for HumScouts, or know someone who might be interested, please fill out this Google Form: http://tinyurl.com/humscouts
If you have any questions or any other programs you’d like to see from Humanitas4All, please reach out to humscouts@humanitas4all.org.
Kind regards,
The HumScouts Team
