Back to School

Dear Mighty Red Bird Families,

Welcome to an exciting new school year! Our theme this year is "Rocking Our Way to Creating Masterpieces," and we're ready to hit all the right notes! Just like in music, where every instrument adds its own unique sound to create something truly special, we believe that each of our students brings their own unique talents and personalities to our school community. Together, we're going to create something extraordinary this year—just like a rock and roll band, every one of us plays a vital role in making our school a masterpiece.

Our dedicated teachers and staff are back and have been hard at work setting up classrooms, preparing for instruction, and participating in professional development to ensure we're ready to provide the best possible education for your children.

We’d like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the PTA for providing a delicious lunch for our staff today!

There is lots of information in this newsletter regarding Open House, Arrival and Dismissal, ParentVue, and Digital Consent.

We’re excited for a year full of collaboration and connection, and we can’t wait to kick it off at our Open House this Friday. We look forward to seeing you there!

Warm Regards,
Ms. Drake, Mrs. Agner, Mrs. Long

Once you have activated a SIS ParentVUE account for an FCPS student, you will keep the same account until the student graduates. Information about students in the same family can be accessed through the same SIS ParentVUE account. Access SIS ParentVUE using an app on your iPhone, iPad, or Android devices.

Arrival and Dismissal Procedures

We are so excited to have all our Mighty Red Birds back next week. As always safety is our number one priority so please adhere to our dismissal process.  Please watch the video to fully understand how our dismissal works for Kiss and Ride and refer to the photos of where your students will be released if they are walkers. (Mr. Hirsch makes a cameo appearance in this video. 😊)

Please fill out this form ASAP if your children will be transported to and from school via Kiss and Ride.

Thank you!
