 The first day of the 2024-25 school year is Monday, August 19. We will hold our annual Kindergarten Open House, New Family Orientation, Grades 1 - 6 Open House, and Welcome Back BBQ tomorrow, August 15. If your family is unable to join us, you will be able to find your child's class assignment in ParentVue in the morning and parents may walk their child to their classroom on the 1st day of school. Please note that class assignments are final.
Parent Reminders:
- 5th and 6th graders interested in being a patrol can meet Mr. Hickman at 1:45 tomorrow for an information meeting at Lemon Road. Questions about patrols can be directed to tjhickman@fcps.edu.
- Prior to our first day of school, please make sure you activate and login to your ParentVue account. ParentVue will serve as your way to update your emergency contacts, opt in or out to certain school related activities, access your child's quarterly progress report, and report student absences.
- Purchase your child's school supplies! Check out the grade level supply lists here. All students also need a backpack and a reusable water bottle. Families that need assistance purchasing school supplies should reach out to Family Liaison, Mabel Morales at mvmorales@fcps.edu.
- Families must complete the Free and Reduced Price Meal application before the start of each school year. Complete the application here: Free and Reduced-Price Meals webpage.
- Help your children complete their Lemon Road Summer Activity Board.

Lemon Road ES will have a seven hour early release on the below dates dismissing at 11:55 AM. This is a great opportunity to get in appointments without missing school! - Join us for our first community event of the year - our annual Tears & Cheers Breakfast. Held in the school cafeteria on the first day of the school year @8:15am, whether you are tearful or cheering, it’s always good to connect with other parents and catch up! Coffee and donuts will be provided by the PTA (while they last!)
- We kick off each year with our Armchair Fundraiser - this is one of the easiest ways to support the PTA, just click to donate from the comfort of your home! Join us in helping the PTA “fill the pot” to help fund buses for field trips, student scholarships, updates to technology & materials throughout the school and more! We are hoping to raise $10,000 to focus on events for the rest of the year and not hold any other pure fundraisers! Every contribution is appreciated and don’t forget to check if your employer will match your contribution - many do!
