Haycock Hello 8.19.24

first

Dear Haycock Families,

It was wonderful to welcome our students back into the halls of Haycock for a great first day of the 2024-25 school year.❤️  We have a great year ahead of us learning, growing, and making an impact together.

If you have not done so already, please take a minute and complete the Early Release Monday form.  If you have multiple students at Haycock, you will need to complete the short form for each of them.  This important data is being collected by FCPS and will assist us with planning for the early release Mondays.  We need 100% response rate, so please complete the form today!

We hope to see all of you at our Back to School Night this Thursday, August 22 from 6:00 to 7:30.  See details below.  This is an excellent opportunity to for you to see what your student will be learning about this year, how they will be supported in the classroom, and how and when you will receive communication from your child's teacher.  It's also a chance to get to know and partner with your child's teacher this year!

With appreciation for your partnership,

Liz Beaty, Principal embeaty@fcps.edu

Heather Boyd, AP   HABoyd@fcps.edu

Krystal Styles, AP   krstyles@fcps.edu

Cell Phone and Apple Watch Guidance for Parents

This is a reminder that if your student has a cell phone, the phone needs to remain in their backpack during the school day.  This is FCPS policy which allows students to be present and available for instruction during the day.

If your student has an Apple Watch, the watch should be set on Schooltime.  Students should not be able to make or receive phone calls during the school day. Here is additional information on smart device policy
