Planting Seeds, Growing Minds

Welcome to the 2024-2025 School Year

Today the KPES staff was thrilled to complete 377 Welcome Walk home visits. Our staff returned smiling, filled with stories of new connections and excitement for the year. We were estatic to also have FCPS Cheif of Schools, Dr. Geovanny Ponce join us on a few Welcome Walks.

As an additional support to the school year, families are encouraged to watch a brief welcome message from Mrs. Dotty Lin.  Here you can review information  to support the first weeks of school and to find answers to frequently asked questions.

In addition, this KPES One Pager Return to School Information includes key back to school links and resources for the start of the year. A hard copy will be shared via the yellow take home folder.

Open House, August 15th 1:00pm-2:00pm

Open House is a time for students and families to informally meet their teacher and to explore the classroom. Staff members will be on hand to give extra assistance during the open house to help you find your child’s classroom. We hope to see you there! We encourage families to enter the buidling and practice walking to class the same way their student will each day. Please see the below map for cordinated entrances.
