First Day of School

We're excited to welcome all students back to school on Monday, August 19! To ease the first-day transition, we have a few reminders:

  • Kindergarten Parents: You are welcome to walk your child to their classroom on the first day.
  • Grades 1-6: To ensure a smooth start, we kindly ask that parents drop off their children at the school entrance.
  • Bus Riders: To establish good routines, we encourage all bus riders to ride the bus starting the first week of school.
  • Kiss & Ride: Families with Kiss & Ride numbers will continue with the number that was previously assigned. Please stop by the Kiss & Ride table during Open House to setup a new Kiss & Ride account or get a replacement Kiss & Ride tag, if needed.

PTA Sponsored BOO HOO Breakfast

On the first day of school, all parents and guardians are invited to connect with other parents and learn more about our school community during our Annual PTA-sponsored Boo-Hoo Breakfast in the cafeteria at 9:15. Enjoy coffee, conversation, and the opportunity to meet the PTA.

During the 2024-2025 school year, there will be two (2) opportunities for community nonprofit groups (related to children/families and education) to distribute flyers via the Powell Tuesday folders.
