Cafeteria Dining Assistant Needed
Deer Park has an opening for a Cafeteria Dining Assistant for the 2024-25 school year. This is a daily position with hours from approximately 10:45 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.
This person needs to have a lot of patience, great rapport with children, be flexible and work in the cafeteria with a fair amount of noise/talking in the background.
The dining assistant works with another staff member to help monitor student behavior, provide assistance to students, and facilitate having each class clean up their tables on the given schedule.

SIS ParentVue
The SIS ParentVue provides parents with electronic access to your child's information. Please make sure you have an active ParentVue account and verify that your email is correct. The ParentVue account gives you access to transportation information if eligible, teacher information, your child's attendance and more during the school year.
This school year you will be able to electronically complete consent forms, impact aid forms, opt-out forms and directory opt-outs.

Early Release Mondays
As you may have heard, the Virginia Literacy Act requires Elementary Teachers (classroom, special education, and ESOL) to complete approximately 27 hours of training focused on the Science of Reading and evidence-based literacy during the 2024-2025 school year.
As a result, Fairfax County Public Schools has planned seven early release Mondays starting in September. Please note the dates and times for your calendars listed below.
Deer Park will dismiss at 12:25 PM on the following days:
September 23; October 28; November 25, February 24; March 17,
April 28 and May 19
