Panther Press: Summer Edition

We wanted to put some important dates on your calendar for this upcoming school year and provide information about the early release Monday dates.  Providence will release at 12:55 p.m. on these days.

  Some other important dates for this upcoming Fall are:

• Kindergarten Courtyard Safari (Incoming Kindergarteners):   Wednesday, August 7:  9:00am-10:00am
• Providence Open House: Thursday, August 15
• First Day of School: August 19, 8:30am
• Kindergarten Tears and Cheers: August 19, 8:45am (cafe)

Do you have or know a child that is five years old or will be turning five by September 30, 2024? If you do, please register them for Kindergarten at your earliest opportunity. To start the process you can either visit THIS FCPS SITE  or stop by the Providence Elementary School office. Please also share this information with anyone in our neighborhood who may have a child that is ready to start Kindergarten in August. We can't wait to meet all our new Panthers!

General Registration (grades 1-12) site

We have one student monitor position available for the upcoming school year!  Our student monitors provide essential supervision of students (K-6) throughout the school day, especially during lunch and recess, to ensure classroom teachers have necessary planning time throughout the school-day.  Monitors work 8:10 AM - 3:40 PM on all student school days and are paid hourly $17.88 per hour.  Additional expectations and information can be found on the FCPS Job Opportunities page under Student Monitor.
