Classroom Monitors Needed
Keene Mill is actively seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as classroom monitors for the 2024-2025 school year. Your role will be crucial in providing additional support to our students and staff.

The duties of a classroom monitor are: supervise students throughout the school day, including, but not limited to, classrooms, lunch, recess, and specials. Classroom Monitors assist with managing behavior, operating technology, and performing some administrative and non-instructional duties. The individual can have a combination of experiences equivalent to graduation from high school. The person must be comfortable managing groups of students.

The 2024 - 2025 FCPS School Year Calendar can be accessed here. We encourage families to review the calendar when considering trips or preplanned absences.
*New* Monday Early Release Schedule
We wanted to provide a reminder and follow up to the FCPS communication that was sent in June regarding seven three hour early release Mondays for elementary students in the 24-25 year. Keene Mill ES will have a three hour early release on the dates below dismissing at 1:00 p.m. This is a great opportunity to get in your medical appointments without missing school!

This time will be utilized for teacher planning time to support students, complete required professional development for the new Virginia Literacy Act, new reading and math standard and other initiatives.
