Principal's Note
Dear Cameron School Families,
We are excited to share the results of our recent Family Engagement Survey, conducted from March 3rd to April 3rd. The survey aimed to gather valuable feedback in several key areas: welcoming environment, communication, student success, advocacy, family and school partnerships, and collaboration with the community. Although we received a sample of participants, we would have liked to include more voices. Your feedback is always welcome, and it is essential in helping us improve our service to the school community. Your thoughts matter, and the information you provide helps us better support our students and families.
We identified strengths and areas for growth. The administration, in collaboration with our school's Instructional Council, will be focusing on how we can improve in these areas. We are pleased to report that 93% of our families feel very respected or respected at Cameron, and 94% believe their children feel very respected or respected as well. With our diverse school community, representing over 22 languages, it is our priority to ensure all families feel welcomed, respected, and heard. Thank you for your continued support as we strive to promote an inclusive and equitable community of learners. Complete results of the survey will be published on our website in the coming weeks and will be shared then.

☀️Kindergarten Playdate
 On August 7 from 12-1pm, incoming Cameron ES kindergarteners are invited to join us for a chance to play and meet new classmates. Popsicles and water will be provided. See you at the Cameron playground!
Kindergarten Summer Assessments
 Our kindergarten teachers will be hosting two dates and times for assessments. Assessments with be completed in the library and will take about 15 minutes. Sign up for a time!

Meet the Staff!
On Monday, August 12 between 2 and 3pm, Cameron staff will be visiting Cityside Apartments, Riverside Apartments, and the Huntington Community Center for a meet and greet with families. Come to say hello and get a popsicle! A more detailed schedule will be provided in the coming weeks.

Open House Aug 16
Join us on August 16 from 3-4pm for Cameron's Open House! Students and families will have a chance to meet their teacher, see their classroom, and connect with classmates. We hope you join us!
