Dear Island Creek Families,
Due to unforeseen scheduling conflicts, we had to change the time for our Open House which will now be held on Thursday, August 15 from 3:00-5:30. Open House is an informal event when students and families may stop by any time between 3:00-5:30 to meet their teachers, connect with friends, drop off school supplies, and sign up for activities such as PTA and Scouts.
Back to School Night (Wednesday, August 28 from 5:45-7:00) is a more structured opportunity for parents and guardians to meet with teachers and learn important information about academic outcomes, curriculum changes, expectations for the school year, supports for students, communication methods, and more.
Our annual 6th Grade Chat and Chew will be held on Friday, August 9 from 11:30-12:30. Ms. Baxter, Ms. Cash-Pinckney, and I are looking foward to spending time with our rising 6th Grade students! An email will be sent to families of 6th Grade students regarding details about this event.
We look forward to welcoming our Croc students, staff, and families, back to school in August!
