Summer updates
Thank you to our wonderful Custodians!
As many of you know, Columbia Elementary School routinely receives the highest of marks for cleanliness and school operations preparation for a welcoming learning environment. These superheroes pictured above, and including Tony who works in the evenings, are working hard this summer to have the building ready for August 19th. Please join me in thanking our wonderful custodians for all their hard work!
Welcome new staff!
We are excited to announce new staff members that are joining the Columbia family this upcoming school year. As we get closer to Open House, when class lists are distributed on August 15th, we will add details to the school's website so that the community can get to know the newest members of the team leading up to the 24-25 school year. New free tutoring service for 24-25 SY
Beginning in the 2024-25 school year, Varsity Tutors will be providing online tutoring services to FCPS students at no cost to families and no cost to the school division. More information about Varsity Tutors will be forthcoming.
As an alternative to Varsity Tutors, students may choose to access Schoolhouse, a free online, peer-to-peer tutoring service, founded by Sal Khan of Khan Academy.
