We are excited to host the Extended School Year (ESY) program again this summer at Island Creek. We look forward to welcoming children from 11 FCPS elementary schools the month of July!
During summer break, no-cost breakfast and lunch are available to all children 18 years of age and younger at FCPS sites across the county. Please access this link to find a meal site near you.
School supply may be accessed from the Island Creek website using this link.
Additionally, the Island Creek PTA offers families the option to purchase a School Supply kit that will be delievered directly to your child's classroom. Order online:

The Fairfax County Public Library has tons of print, audio, and Ebook options. Go to the website on your computer or download the Libby by Overdrive app on your tablet or phone.

MyOn has many books at a variety of levels, including many chapter books.

In addition to the information listed below, it is recommended that students who are moving from a standard level math class to an honors level math class have their ST Math journey reassigned to the next grade level.
A heat advisory has been issued for Fairfax County for tomorrow, Saturday, June 22. The National Weather Service issues a heat advisory when there is a heat index of 100 degrees or higher for at least two days and nighttime air temperatures staying over 75 degrees. When a heat advisory is announced, Fairfax County has resources that will help the public stay cool will activate its heat plan, which calls for opening cooling centers in public facilities.
