Alumni Hall
Alumni Hall, previously named Collaboration 3, was recently updated and will be a place to recognize Distinguished Alumni and Distinguished Faculty and Staff. You will notice a Wall Mural and Touch Screen TV has been installed outside the room and inside we will hang plaques that will forever recognize alumni and staff at West Springfield High School.

Summer Office Hours/Events
Our Main Office will be open daily, 9a - 1p, by appointment only. Call our main office phone, (703) 913-3800, and leave a voicemail to request an appointment
We are hosting FCPS Credit Recovery at WSHS this summer. Summer classes will be held in our classrooms from June 24th thru July 26th.
Additionally, our parking lot will be repainted on July 1st and 2nd.

Moving this Summer? Fill out an intention form
If you plan on moving or relocating during the Summer, we ask that you pleased complete our Intention Form. Completed Forms can be submitted to WSStudentServices@fcps.edu or a physical copy can dropped off at Student Services.
💉Rising 12th Graders: Meningococcal Immunization Requirement
Immunizations are required for all students entering 7th and 12th grades this fall. Visit FCPS’ Immunization webpage to learn about the required vaccines.
Parents/caregivers should ask their private healthcare provider or the health department to review their student's immunization record to ensure their student has received these required immunizations.
It is important to schedule immunizations early in the summer, as seventh grade students must submit documentation of the Tdap and Meningococcal vaccines before they begin school in August. Students in the 12th grade must submit documentation of the Meningococcal vaccine.
All immunizations can be submitted as a PDF to: WSStudentServices@fcps.edu
We can also take physical copies, physical copies should be dropped off at Student Services.

Session A: Thursday, June 20 and Friday, June 21, 2024
Don’t miss this opportunity to be photographed for the yearbook! The required attire for the school’s yearbook pose are traditional Tuxedos and Drapes; provided by us!
You can also choose to bring your own formal attire from home. Approved formal wear includes: coat and tie, all black clothing, or black and white clothing. In addition to the free yearbook session, we also offer sessions that include casual/personality portraits and Cap and Gown portraits.

PSAT/NMSQT (Grades 10-11) and SAT Day (Grade 12)
Digital SAT Replaces Paper in 2024-25
This October, the SAT School Day will be administered in a digital format nationwide. Some testing accommodations are administered differently for digital tests than paper/pencil tests. See information about accommodations for students with disabilities.
SAT School Day and PSAT/NMSQT
SAT School Day and PSAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (NMSQT) exams will be held at each high school on Wednesday, October 9, at no cost to families. The digital SAT School Day exam is offered to 12th-grade students, and the digital PSAT/NMSQT exam is provided to 10th and 11th-grade students.
Accommodations for Students with Disabilities and Multilingual Learner Supports
Because the College Board operates these exams, students receive testing accommodations or support only sometimes. If you have a student with disabilities entering 10th, 11th, or 12th grade or have a multilingual student entering 12th grade, please review the accommodations request process and/or EL support request process and return forms to the high school by Monday, August 5.

PLEASE NOTE THAT FALL SPORTS DO BEGIN IN AUGUST. ALL SUMMER VACATIONS SHOULD BE PLANNED FOR JUNE/JULY.

Each athlete MUST complete the 2 items below prior to any off season workout or try-outs:
- VHSL physical is required for participation. It must be dated after May 1, 2024. The VHSL Physical Form can be found HERE
- Please make sure that the insurance information is included, and all parent/student signatures are on the form.
- Please turn your Physical into the Activities Office. Mail to: Attn: Chris Worrell ATC West Springfield HS, 6100 Rolling Road, Springfield VA, 22152 or email to: cworrell@fcps.edu
- Families & student-athletes must complete the online Athletic Registration each school year after May 1st for the following school year. You can find this link HERE. The information on the registration must be updated each year for the student-athlete to be eligible. Please update any emergency contact information, complete the concussion education, and check the sport(s) that they wish to try-out for.
