Cub Run News
Cubby Corner
Dear Cub Run Families and Friends,
As we waved our final goodbye to our Cubbies this afternoon, we couldn’t help but feel a wave of immense pride for this incredible school year. This year has been filled with moments of learning, laughter, and growth, all thanks to the amazing students, dedicated staff, and supportive families that make up our school community.
Let's take a moment to celebrate some of the highlights from the past week:
-
The Arts Took Center Stage: Our talented chorus singers, band members, and strings students brought the house down with their end-of-year concerts. The dedication and passion they displayed were truly inspiring!
-
Field Day Fun: We witnessed pure joy and friendly competition at our annual Field Day. Cheers to teamwork, sportsmanship, and a whole lot of fun in the sun!
-
Walking Our Way to Wellness: The Principal's Walking Club was a fantastic way to get active and spend quality time together as we close out this school year. Thank you to everyone who joined us for a morning stroll!
-
Leading the Way: A big shout-out to our inspiring Student Principal for a Day, Landry! His leadership skills were on full display, and he brought a fresh perspective to our school environment.
-
Celebrating Milestones: Our 6th-grade ceremony and celebration were a heartwarming culmination of their elementary school journey. We wish them all the best as they embark on their next adventure! Congratulations to our sixth graders!
Over the last few weeks, we have also been preparing for a strong start to the 24-25 school year. Our grade level teams have met to reflect on our year, student data, and our School Innovation and Improvement Plan. These meetings have allowed our teams to celebrate our glows and to develop action steps to address our areas of growth and how to continue to support and meet the diverse academic, social, and emotional needs of our students.
To our dedicated teachers and staff, your passion for education has truly ignited a spark in our students' hearts. Throughout the year, you have gone above and beyond to inspire a love of learning. You've fostered creativity, nurtured curiosity, and challenged our students to achieve their goals. The dedication you show to each individual student is truly remarkable.
This year would not have been possible without the support of each and every one of you, our parents, guardians, and family members. Thank you for your dedication to your child's education, your active participation in school events, and your unwavering belief in our school community. I can’t thank you all enough for welcoming me into this phenomenal school community this spring. We look forward to welcoming you back for an exceptional 2024-25 school year!
We wish you all a safe, relaxing, and rejuvenating summer break. Our News You Choose weekly community newsletter will take a break over the summer, but we will share periodic updates as we prepare to kick off the new school year. We look forward to seeing our Cubbies back on Monday, August 19!
Happy Summer,
Melissa Miller & Nausheen Haider
