A Message from the Principals
What an amazing year this has been! As a school, we made tremendous academic growth, showcasing the hard work and dedication of our students and staff. In literacy, our students surpassed the average reading level established by the region, a remarkable achievement that highlights our commitment to excellence in education. THis success has earned us recognition as one of the top-performing schools in FCPS, a testament to our effective teaching strategies and supportive learning environment.
In math, we also made significant progress, though there is always room for improvement. Recognizing this, we have proactively hired a math coach for the upcoming school year. This addition to our team is aimed at further enhancing our students’ mathematical abilities and ensuring that we continue to build on the growth we have already achieved. The math coach will provide targeted support and innovative instructional methods to help our students reach new heights in their mathematical understanding.
Overall, we are extremely proud of our students. Their resilience, enthusiasm, and determination to excel continue to amaze us. It is their hard work that has led to these impressive outcomes, and we are confident that with continued effort and the additional support we are putting in place, we will see even greater achievements in the coming year. The future looks bright for our school, and we are excited to see what our students will accomplish next.
Together we are and will continue to be Fort Belvoir strong!

Field Day Fun 2024
We had such a beautiful, albeit a bit rainy, day for Field Day 2024! The students had so much fun going through all of the stations inside the school. The parent volunteers were amazing, cheering on the students and helping out in all aspects. It was so great to see so many smiling faces.
Despite the weather, the enthusiasm was palpable as students navigated through various activities. Each station offered a unique challenge, and the indoor setup did not dampen their spirits. The teamwork and camaraderie among the students were heartwarming, as well as seeing parents encouraging every student to give it their best made the day even more special. We are grateful for everyone’s participation and support in making Field Day 2024 a memorable event.
Well Wishes to Departing Staff

We would like to remind families that the last day of school is Wednesday, June 12th. We will begin dismissal at 2:05pm. Early dismissals will stop at 1:30pm. Please be sure to plan accordingly.
In addition, the Fort Belvoir fire department will be on campus to help us celebrate the last day of school. They are sprinkling water from the trucks so students can play in the water. We are asking families to send students with a towel and change of clothing.

Medication Pick Up Deadline - June 12th |
The Fort Belvoir Primary ES health room is reminding parents and guardians that all medication stored in the health room must be picked up no later than the 1:40 pm on June 12th.
Medication left in the health room after that time will be destroyed. It is school policy that medications must be picked up by the parent or guardian. Medication cannot be sent home with your student. However, with parent or guardian permission, a high school student may transport over-the-counter medications to and from the school health room.
If your student will be enrolled in a summer program sponsored by Fairfax County Public Schools, the existing medication authorization form(s) may be used for the summer program, but you will need to pick up the medication on the last day of school and deliver the medication and completed forms to the summer learning site on the first day of the summer program. Please let the health room know if you would like a copy of the form(s).
FCPS Cares!
The FCPS CARES Program is an opportunity for parents, staff, and community members to recognize FCPS employees for going above and beyond to help others and show they care. We invite you to submit your story, so we can all acknowledge the good work of FCPS employees at Fort Belvoir Primary ES. We love our Primary staff members, let's tell them how we feel!
