One Last Trip Through the Halls

24 grad

In a heartwarming tradition, the Falls Church High School seniors took a sentimental walk through the hallways of Pine Spring Elementary School, the place where their educational journeys began. With smiles, laughter, and a few tears, they revisited their old classrooms, greeted their former teachers, and shared stories of their growth and achievements. This nostalgic walk down memory lane was not just a moment of reflection for the seniors, but also an inspiring sight for the younger students, who looked up to these soon-to-be graduates with admiration and hope. The hallways of Pine Spring were filled with a sense of pride and accomplishment, celebrating the remarkable journey of these students as they prepare to step into the next exciting chapter of their lives.

SchoolKidz School Supply Kits

supplies

It’s that time again - time to think about ordering school supplies for the 2024-25 school year! For those who may not be aware, SchoolKidz allows parents to pre-order teacher approved supply lists. Your child’s supply box will be delivered directly to their classroom by PTA before the first day of school, which is Monday, August 19. Prices are comparable to what you pay in stores, and this saves you the hassle of supply shopping. It also helps support the Pine Spring community!

Paper order forms will be sent home with students. This year's due date for paper orders is Wednesday, June 12th (no exceptions). Effective immediately parents can also order online at www.shopttkits.com! Please note that you will need Pine Spring’s Account #40216. The deadline for online orders is Friday, June 14.

Virtual Mental Wellness Consultations

This summer, the FCPS Office of Intervention and Prevention Services will offer virtual Mental Wellness Consultations from Monday, June 24, through Friday, August 2. Any FCPS parent or secondary student will have an opportunity to schedule a 45-minute consultation with a school psychologist or school social worker by phone or videoconference.

Parents of students in any grade level can request a consultation to receive guidance on how to support their child’s social, emotional, and academic success. Information about community resources will also be provided.

Students in middle or high school can request a consultation to receive guidance and support for concerns related to anxiety, mood, behavior, peer or family interactions, or school transitions and changes. Strategies and tools can also be provided to address academic challenges such as organization and time management.

We encourage all families to take advantage of this service. Request a consultation or call and leave a message at 703-503-2520.
