Thank you students and families for a wonderful school year-we will miss you all so much!

TC Families,

This our last family newsletter for this school year. While we enjoy our summer break, we are also eagerly planning for the next school year. We look forward to welcoming everyone back in the fall with renewed energy and enthusiasm. Please keep an eye on your email and our website for updates on the new school year, and please see below for upcoming dates for our Back to School Open House and Back to School Night.

As a reminder, we will have a 2 hour early release tomorrow,  Wednesday, June 12th. Dismissal will begin at 1:25 p.m.

Important Information

Summer Office Hours

Beginning Monday, June 24th, the Terra Centre Office will be open 9:00-12:00, Monday through Friday.

A Fond Farewell to Some of our Tigers

We sadly announce the departure of the following staff who are retiring, accepting new positions closer to their homes, or are on to new adventures. Please join us in wishing the following staff a fond farewell:  Deborah Camp, IA, retiring to spend time with grandkids and visit her most favorite place on Earth, Disneyworld, Laura Monahan, 2nd grade teacher, enjoying time with family, Jen Crotts, special education teacher, Shrevewood ES, Beth Hunt, ECIP teacher, Powell ES, Stacie Isberner, special education teacher, Waples Mill ES, Amy Kris, special education teacher, new adventures, Jen Parise, special education teacher, Bryant ALC, and Eileen Petersen, IA, spending time with family, Jackye Toth, counselor, retiring after 31 years to play pickle ball and enjoy the cruise life, and Lindsey Whelan, PE teacher, Aldrin ES. 

Medication Pick Up

Medication stored in the school health room must be picked up by student dismissal tomorrow to avoid destruction.

  • Parents or guardians must collect medications; they cannot be sent home with students. 
  • For summer programs by Fairfax County Public Schools, existing medication authorization forms can be used, but medication must be picked up on the last day of school and delivered to the summer learning site on the program's first day.

Friday, August 16th - Back to School Open House, 9:00 a.m.

Friday, August 30th-Monday, September 2nd - Holiday, School closed

Tuesday, September 10th - Back to School Night, PreK-6th grade

Session 1: 6:00 p.m.- 6:30 p.m.

Session 2: 6:45 p.m.- 7:15 p.m. (repeat of session 1)
