Lynbrook Principal's Newsletter

Principal's Message:

Hello Lynbrook!

It was our last full week of the 2023-2024 school year and we ended with a epic Career Day ! Our school counselors Ms. Vanessa Paula and Ms. Bridget Sowa planned a beautiful experience for all of our students in grade K-6. We had over 35 guest speakers come and visit classrooms the entire morning sharing their journey and encouraging our kids to dream big when it comes to their own futures! We even had a special daily news report delivered to all classrooms with Telemundo DC’s own, Alberto Pimienta! Thank you to all of our volunteers and Ms. Paula and Ms. Sowa for nurturing the dreams of our students! Anything and everything is possible for our kids!

Next week we will celebrate our 6th grade students Tuesday at their Promotion Ceremony. We are so very proud of everything they have accomplished here at Lynbrook whether they have been here since pre-K or joined recently….our Leprechaun family always welcomes new members ! We are so excited to see what they do at Key MS and Lewis HS these next 6 years.

This will be our last newsletter of the 2023-2024 school year. It will also be my last letter as principal of Lynbrook. I will be transitioning August 1st to Hybla Valley ES. I am so grateful for our partnership these past 7 years. It has been an absolute privilege to support your children and I know they will continue to thrive here at Lynbrook and beyond! I will take you with me wherever I go and will always be championing our Leprechauns! Please do keep in touch and let me know if you need anything from me because I truly believe , “Once a Leprechaun, always a Leprechaun”!

With love and gratitude,

Kathleen Sain

😱 SOCIAL MEDIA: X/Twitter Update

With this update, we even more strongly encourage you to reconsider your school’s use of X, unless it is an effective communication and engagement tool for your community. This is NOT a mandate.

If you and your principal would like an official Facebook page or Instagram account for your school, reach out to Delaina McCormack this summer and we are happy to get you set up.
