As we close the curtain on another successful year, I am incredibly grateful for your support. Thank you for placing your trust in me as I transitioned from into this new role.
Your support, both inside and outside the classroom, is valued and appreciated. I extend a special thanks to our incredible families and PTA. Your volunteer efforts, from supporting field trips to programs like GREAT Art and Amazing Earth, and reviving enrichment programs, have greatly enhanced our students' learning experiences.
Throughout the year, we focused on helping our students RISE: developing Respect for themselves and others, fostering Independence as learners, prioritizing Safety in our school environment, and cultivating Empathy towards their peers.
Thank you for making this year a success. I wish you all a restful and joyful summer. We look forward to welcoming you back for another fantastic year of learning and growth together!
The last day of the 2023-24 school year is Wednesday, June 12. Students will be dismissed early at 2:05 p.m.
Our sixth-graders had a fantastic time at their farewell celebration on Thursday evening! A special thank you goes out to the sixth-grade parent volunteers who coordinated this memorable event and to all those who supported us throughout the evening.
The celebration featured music provided by DJ Platts, keeping everyone in high spirits. A variety of fun activities kept the party moving, and pizza, popcorn, and custard were enjoyed by all. Trivia proved to be a popular station, and the student slideshow was a heartwarming touch that showcased our incredible sixth graders.
As we approach the end of the school year, we can't help but feel a bittersweet sentiment. It's hard to believe these amazing students are rounding out their elementary school journey! We will continue to celebrate and recognize their achievements at the upcoming promotion ceremony on Tuesday at 9:45 AM.
Please have your students check the lost & found (located in the cafeteria) for missing items. Unclaimed items remaining after June 12 will be donated to a local charity.
Save yourself time and trouble this summer and order 2024-2025 school supplies through the PTA. Kits will contain all teacher-requested supplies and be delivered to your child's classroom in August.
Place your order now by July 15!
All kits are competitively priced and include a 5% donation to the Sunrise Valley PTA.

Do you have a rising kindergartener or know someone who does? Contact Alexis Estep to receive invites for summer kindergarten play dates, and make sure to join our Facebook Group (“SVES PTA”) for summer announcements. All play dates will be held at the Sunrise Valley Elementary School playground (behind the school). Currently, we have three rising-K play dates planned:
- June 29 at 11am
- July 23 at 11am
- August 3 at 4pm
