As this school year ends – and my final term as president – I would like to take a moment to reflect on the past couple of years and thank the Hunt Valley community for all the support received throughout this time.
A few significant highlights:
The return of activities: While activities had been limited due to Covid-19, we were able to bring back onsite activities including after school activities, festivals, book fairs and swaps, movie nights and more.
The growth of new activities: Our PTA chairs brought new activities and wonderful enrichment programs including a sunshine committee that brought you Trunk or Treat and ice skating, health and wellness initiatives, and a spelling bee among other activities.
Support for students and families: The PTA collected food and gift card donations during the winter break for HVES families in need as well as supported students needing financial assistance during the book fair.
Support for the school: The PTA increased our support for teacher reimbursements as well as funds to help pay for buses for field trips.
We hope you have enjoyed the last couple years and have made lasting memories through the family evening events brought to us by the hard work and dedication of our volunteers. These events have become a staple of the Hunt Valley tradition and part of what makes Hunt Valley such a truly special experience.

… to our principal, assistant principal, faculty, and staff for wonderful years of learning and enrichment for our children.
…to the custodial staff. Their help during all events on school property is immensely appreciated all year long!
…to our PTA executive board, committee chairs, and class parents for the time and dedication they have brought to this school. Without their volunteer efforts, while also trying to balance family and careers, none of the success of the PTA would be possible.
… to all our PTA members and volunteers for all your support throughout the year.
Finally, congratulations to our sixth-grade families moving up to Irving Middle School! It is a fabulous school, and we wish you the best and much success as you continue your educational journey!

The Hunt Valley Fun Run will be held on Saturday, September 7th. More details to come in the fall!
