Big Truck Day and Senior Walks

We know there is SO much going on and our Friday messages are full of information about the end of the year and also for the summer, so we thought we'd share some of the amazing things happening here in these last weeks of the 2023-2024 school year in a separate message.

Big Truck Day

On Friday, May 31, our kindergarteners had their annual Big Truck Day, and it did not disappoint!  Several community members came out to support our special event, and the joy was evident through the many, many smiles.  There was much excitement about the vehicles themselves, as well as conversations with service members.  The Fairfax PD helicopter also made a special landing on our back field, which was a sight to see for the entire school community.

We even made the local news!  You can find the news coverage (video and story) here, on Fox 5 DC's webpage.

Senior Walks

A time honored tradition across Fairfax County Public Schools is inviting high school graduates back to their elementary schools to walk the halls prior to graduation.  It is a meaningful event for the alumni and teachers, as well as our current elementary students who can envision themselves doing the same thing in the near future. We were able to host Floris alumni from Westfield High School on Monday, June 3...

It was also so excited see a few Floris alumni from Chantilly HS and Langley HS as well!

Congratulations to all of our graduates!
