Field Day

Notes from the Administration

Dear CWES Families,

Our students had a great time wrapping up the school year this week, as shown in these photos! Additionally, we had a successful week at CWES hosting the 2024 Grad Walk. Former Cougars returned to walk through their elementary school halls one last time as FCPS students. The turnout was impressive, with many former teachers in attendance. It was inspiring to witness both current and former students coming together to celebrate each other.

We wanted to express our sincerest gratitude to all the incredible parent volunteers who came out to help with field day today! Your time, energy, and enthusiasm made the day a huge success for our students.

We also owe a big thank you to Mr. Healey and Mrs. Bruce for all their hard work planning such a fun and exciting event. Their dedication ensured there were activities for everyone to enjoy, and we truly appreciate all the effort they put in.

4th, 5th, and 6th graders please complete elective forms!

Attention all rising fourth, fifth and sixth grade CWES students and families!  Now is the time to complete Electives Enrollment Forms for school year 2024-2025.  Band, Strings and Chorus options for each grade level are described within the form.  All rising fourth, fifth and sixth grade students should complete this form to make their preferred electives selections for next school year.

4th grade electives (for this year’s 3rd graders)

5th grade electives (for this year’s 4th graders)

6th grade electives (for this year’s 5th graders)

Have a wonderful weekend,

Leslie Malkowski, Kristi McGeehan, and Moonhee Doan
