As we close out the 2023-24 school year and begin planning for next year, we want to express our gratitude for the wonderful students, families and staff that we have the privilege to work with each day. We wish you all a wonderful, restful and well-earned summer break!

Kings Glen is excited to announce that Andrew Aversa has been selected to join KGES as the new Assistant Principal beginning July 9, 2024. Mr. Aversa was selected after several interview panels were convened and also with input from school staff, the community and Region 4 Leadership.
Mr. Aversa brings a wealth of teaching and leadership experience, having served as an Assistant Principal in Stafford County Public Schools, and most recently as the Dean of Students at Sandburg Middle School in Fairfax County Public Schools. Prior to becoming an administrator, Mr. Aversa taught upper grades in both New York and Virginia.
Mr. Aversa earned his Bachelors in Education from St. Joseph’s College and his Masters in Education as a Reading Specialist from Long Island University in New York. He earned his certification for Education Leadership from Virginia Commonwealth University. His experience in education has focused on building strong school cultures and relationships with the community.
Mr. Aversa seeks to build a genuine climate and culture of respect, fairness, and consistency. He believes that kids and young adults everywhere have a desire to learn and be recognized, and encourages the adults in students’ lives to help students find success and overcome challenges.

Help Us Reach Our Trex Recycling Goal of 1000 Pounds This Summer!
We continue to pursue our goal of collecting 1000 pounds of plastic and earn a Trex park bench over the summer! Send in plastic bags, films and wraps to Kings Glen to be weighed (no food residue, please). You can bring your plastic to Kings Glen between 9-1 p.m. during the summer.

Order Your School Supply Kits from the PTA!
Deadline July 15th
The PTA is once again offering school supply kits for the upcoming school year - the deadline to order is July 15th. This year we have partnered with Campus Survival Kits - go to https://www.campussurvivalkits.com/kpkg to order for next year's grade. The kits will be delivered straight to the schools before the first day of school! Please contact supplykits@kpkgpta.org with questions.
