Dear Sleepy Hollow Families,

As we approach the end of this school year, it's a wonderful time to reflect on the many opportunities for learning and social growth that our students have experienced. This year has been filled with numerous achievements, both in the classroom and beyond, and we are incredibly proud of the progress our students have made.

Throughout the year, our students have engaged in a variety of challenging and enriching academic activities. From science night, curriculum related field trips, author visit, battle of the books and history projects, each student has had the chance to explore and deepen their knowledge in diverse subjects. Their dedication and hard work have resulted in impressive accomplishments and personal growth.

One of the most important aspects of school life is the development of social skills and relationships. This year, our students have had many opportunities to collaborate, communicate, and form meaningful connections with their peers. Whether through group projects, school events, or everyday interactions, they have learned the importance of empathy, respect, and cooperation.

I am excited to continue building on the successes of this year in 2024-2025. We have many plans in place to further enhance our academic programs and provide even more opportunities for student engagement and growth.

We are grateful for the support and partnership of our parents and guardians throughout the year. Your involvement and encouragement have been crucial to our students' success, and we look forward to continuing this collaboration in the future.

Thank you for being an integral part of our school community.

Library News

It's hard to believe but student checkout is finished for the year and all books are now past due; please help your student locate and return all their library books.  Our student news show is also finished; the 5th grade crews have been amazing as they helped keep our school informed of news all through the school year!  5th graders are also looking ahead to a zoom call with the Glasgow MS librarian; it's a great chance to glimpse the middle school library and get to know a friendly face at their new school.  And the visit by the public librarian for all grade levels is almost here!  If you have any questions about summer reading, please reach out to our librarian at barbara.oswalt@fcps.edu.  Happy reading!
