Good afternoon, Fox Mill Families,
This week went by rather quickly. Hard to imagine, we are almost at the end of another school year. We hope, like us, you have seen growth in your child’s academic and social life. Our sixth graders took their final Fox Mill field trip to the Maryland Science Center and Hard Rock Cafe in Baltimore, and our second grade went to the theater at George Mason University today to see a musical play.

Update from the Health Room
The school health room is reminding parents and guardians that all medication stored in the health room must be picked up no later than Wednesday, June 12th, the student dismissal time on the last day of school. Medication left in the health room after that time will be discarded. It is school policy that medications must be picked up by the parent or guardian. Medication cannot be sent home with your student. If your student will be enrolled in a summer program sponsored by Fairfax County Public Schools, the existing medication authorization form(s) may be used for the summer program. Please let the health room know if you would like a copy of the form(s). If you have any questions please contact your school health room aide, Teresa Knowlan at 703-262-2710, or your school public health nurse, Yara Natour at 571-544-2095.

PTA CORNER
Hello Fox Mill! We are down to our last few days, but still going strong with end of the year fun! Next week we are looking forward to co-hosting a volunteer appreciation luncheon along with the school for all our hard working parents who give their time and energy to make all our plans a success! The lunch will take place on Wednesday from 11-1 in the library. We also have our last teacher breakfast of the year on June 7th, hosted by our Kindergarten families.
Looking ahead to next year, we are in immediate need of volunteers to fill some of our openings.

Membership Chair/Treasurer Elect - In this role you would assist with tracking our membership and disseminating information to the school community regarding registration. Dining for Dollars Coordinator(s) - Looking to get involved but it's easier to work from home, this job is for you! Many of these events can be planned months in advance. Fox Mill Can Drive Results
Congratulations 4th grade. Thank you to all the students who supported this initiative. On Wednesday, the Food for Others truck stopped by to pick up the donations. Thanks to Ms. Hardtke and Ms. Poggioli for organizing this SCA project. “No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.”
