Notes from the Nest

Bob's Furniture event

In our SEES school community, we S.O.A.R., meaning that we demonstrate: Support, Optimism, Acceptance, and Responsibility.

Dear SEES Community,

As we wrap up another exciting week, I wanted to share some wonderful news and updates with you.

A Heartfelt Thank You to Bob's Discount Furniture:

We are incredibly grateful for the generosity of Bob's Discount Furniture, our newest Springfield neighbor! In a heartwarming display of community spirit, they surprised SEES with a $2,500 Random Act of Kindness donation. This incredible gesture will have a significant impact on our school and demonstrates Bob's commitment to supporting our students and staff. We are thrilled to welcome them to Springfield and look forward to building a strong partnership.

Celebrating Student Success:

We are immensely proud of our students for their hard work and dedication during the recent state testing period. The preliminary results we've received are incredibly promising, and we are confident that the official reports sent home this summer will reflect the outstanding efforts of our students and teachers.

Multilingual Learners Shine:

We are also excited to share the preliminary data for our multilingual learners, who have shown tremendous growth in their English language development. SEES is even above the district average for growth in this area! This is a testament to the dedication of our teachers, the hard work of our students, and the supportive environment we foster at SEES.

Thank you for your continued support and partnership. We are excited to see what the rest of the school year holds!

Sincerely,

April Martin

Proud Principal

Support Your Child’s Success in SIS ParentVUE

Signing up for a SIS ParentVUE account helps you to support your child’s academic success. Caregivers can view important information in ParentVUE such as attendance, grades, progress reports, and assessment scores. Next month SOL and WIDA scores will be available in SIS ParentVUE.

Once you have activated a ParentVUE account for an FCPS student, you will keep the same account until the student graduates. Information about students in the same family can be accessed through the same ParentVUE account. A SIS ParentVUE app is available for Apple and Android devices.

Need help creating a SIS ParentVUE account? This video explains the steps. To create a new account please contact Amy Garcia, ajgarcia@fcps.edu (703-921-2389) for an activation letter.
