Admin Avenue

Dear Olde Creek Families,

This week started a bit dreary, but Mother Nature worked her magic and brought us sunshine! We only have 8 days left, and we're packing them with exciting events. Plus, we're excited to celebrate the hard work of our amazing students by showcasing some of their fantastic learning!

Night of the Arts - June 4

We're looking forward to our Night of the Arts! See below for more information. To make this happen, we need volunteers to mount the artworks and setup of the displays on Monday, 6/3 or Tuesday, 6/4. Click here to sign up. We appreciate your support!

Fifth Grade Global Awareness

This week, our amazing fifth graders wrapped up their incredible Global Awareness Technology Projects (GATP). They presented their projects to some curious fourth graders, sharing their knowledge and creativity. It was a wonderful opportunity for both grade levels to learn and grow together.

Third Grade Travels to Ancient Greece!

Our third graders got a taste of ancient Greek life today by participating in a lively "Greek Agora"! To culminate their studies, they set up shops, and engaged in some friendly bartering – all while dressed in traditional garb!

Sincerely,

Courtney, Alison and Stephanie

GreekAgora

History Comes Alive! Our 3rd Grade transformed the cafeteria into a bustling Greek Agora!

Register Band and Strings - Grades 4-6

Registration is now open for students who are interested in joining or continuing the band or strings program at Olde Creek ES next year. This is a wonderful opportunity for our rising 4th-6th graders to explore their musical talents and be a part of something special.

The registration form linked below provides all the details about the different options available. We want to ensure that every student has the chance to participate in a way that best suits them. During the next few weeks of school, students will have the opportunity to learn and listen to other FCPS musicians to help students learn more about the programs offered.

Please take a moment to review the information with your child and fill out the form if they'd like to be a part of this enriching experience. If you have any questions at all please don't hesitate to reach out. We're here to help in any way we can.

Please follow this link:  Band and Strings Registration

Registration will close on June 7th. Don’t miss out on this wonderful opportunity for your child to learn a musical instrument!

A Message from the OC Clinic Team

As the school year draws to an end, this is a reminder that if your student has medication in the clinic it will need to be picked up before the last day of school, June 12th (early release) by 1:15 PM.

Please remember that an adult must pick up the medication and sign for it; medications cannot be mailed or given to a student to bring home.

By state regulation, any medication left in the clinic at the end of the school year must be destroyed; it cannot be retained in the clinic over the summer.

If you have any questions or concerns about the rest of this school year or next school year please email: rbasile@fcps.edu or jcrawford@fcps.edu

*We have new medication forms for school year 24-25.
