Strings

Strings Concert Success!

Ms. Sloan, Mrs. Ellis, Ms. O’Connell, and the homeroom teachers are all extremely proud of the students who participated in the strings concert last night at Franklin Middle School! It was an incredible performance. These students have learned and grown as musicians this school year and seeing their smiles and excitement both at our two Lees Corner Concerts and again last night at Franklin Middle School was amazing!

Keep Your Kiss ‘n Ride Placard

If you have a child still attending Lees Corner next year, please keep your Kiss ‘n Ride card in a safe place for the summer.  Your family will continue to have the same number and we hope to avoid re-printing cards in the Fall.

Thanks for helping us conserve paper!

recorders

Recorders Are Coming Home!

Students in grades 3-6 will be bringing home their recorders for the summer in the next week.  Please make sure to wash the recorder with dish soap and launder the bag.  Please place it in a safe place as it will need to come back to school in September!  Have a lovely summer!

Parents of 6th Graders: Donate now for the 2024 6th Grade Class Gift

The LCES PTA is collecting donations for a class gift for Lees Corner Elementary School. If you would like to donate, please donate to the Lees Corner PTA 2024 Class Gift Fund here: https://www.paypal.com/donate/...

We have some ideas for things for the school to be displayed after the renovation, such as a Spirit Rock that perhaps could go in the new courtyard or a stained glass hanging that could be displayed in the entryway. We will make our decision based on the amount we raise. If you have ideas please email leescornerpta@outlook.com.

Donations should be received by June 10, 2024.

Student Support

As we gear up for the upcoming school year, we are sincerely reaching out to you with an appeal to join us in providing essential school supplies to children in need. For many families, the cost of school supplies can be a significant burden, making it difficult for children to fully engage in their education. School supplies not only equip students for the classroom but also instill confidence and enthusiasm for learning. Education is the key to unlocking endless possibilities, yet children in our community lack access to basic school supplies. By donating school supplies, you can make a direct and meaningful impact on the lives of these young minds, giving them the tools they need to succeed academically. Here is the link.

School Supply Orders

The PTA is offering parents the convenient services of prepackaged supply kits. This service by The Write Stuff ensures your child or children have the school supplies they need next year without having to run to several different stores to find them. This year, the sales from the school supplies will benefit the PTA.

Each kit will contain exactly what is on your child’s supply list.

Supplies can be ordered using the link below

https://www.write-stuff.com/storefront/school/leescorner

Orders placed online by June 16, 2024 will be sent directly to Lees Corner. Orders can still be placed online until July 10, 2024 but will include a delivery fee and be sent to your home address.

If school supplies are ordered by June 16th and shipped to the school, the box will be delivered directly to your students’ classroom by the open house date.

If you have any questions, please contact LCES PTA at leescornerpta@outlook.com.

Yearbooks: Did You Forget to Order Yours?

If you missed out on ordering a yearbook, we will have a limited number of extras for sale on a first come, first serve basis.  6th graders requests will be honored first.

If you are interested in purchasing one please complete this form. This list is the order in which you will be notified of availability. Yearbooks will be $20, cash only.

Yearbooks will be given out the last week of school with 6th graders getting theirs first.
