Message from Dr. Khoshaba

Happy June!

Can you believe we’re already in the final month of the school year? It feels like just yesterday we were welcoming everyone at Open House. Time sure flies when you're having fun, and we’ve had plenty of it! Let's dive into this week's highlights and celebrate our amazing community together!

Finishing the Season with a Smile!

First up was the final practice for our Crew team. They had a "row-tastic" schedule filled with fun, including a grade-level competition. It was wonderful to see our athletes enjoying themselves in their unique way, truly making a splash!

CREW

Hats off to our Girls Softball and Soccer teams for finishing their seasons with a bang! Both teams made it to the post-season and represented SoCo with flying colors. They definitely knocked it out of the park and kicked it up a notch!

We also had our second branding meeting with the Jostens staff this week. We're excited to finalize a branding statement that captures our Stallion spirit and sets us apart from other high schools. These meetings have been a "brand" new experience, making me feel so grateful to be part of this incredible family.

History

Our annual Student Athlete College Signings Day was truly a hit. Watching each of our 25 athletes thank their supporters was positively inspirational. The respect and heartfelt messages delivered by our audience members made me prouder than ever to be a Stallion. It was a "sign" of great things to come!

Mr. Velazquez’s STEM Engineering students amazed us with their rocket launchers earlier this week. These future engineers put on a stellar display, shooting various items into the air. It was a blast to see their creativity and ingenuity in action. Way to "launch" into success, Mr. V. and the Engineering students!

Our College Preparation Program students have been "study-ninjas" for several years, and their hard work has paid off as they prepare to graduate. Our seniors were celebrated in style, thanks to our amazing staff sponsors! A huge congratulations to our graduating Seniors in the CPP program – you're ready to take on the world!

Our Black Student Association's end-of-year celebration was also a hit this week. With great music, delicious food, and a variety of activities, everyone had a blast. I particularly enjoyed competing alongside some of our finest students in the fun events. It was the perfect way to cap off the school year!

Thank you all for making this week unforgettable. Let’s keep the Stallion spirit high as we head into the final stretch!

Looking Ahead!

Best of luck to our Boys and Girls Track teams, who are racing to the state championship this weekend. I have full confidence that they’ll represent our school community at the highest level and leave the competition in the dust! Stay tuned for next week's newsletter, where I'll be sprinting to share the results with you!

Lastly, here’s another reminder about the schedule for the final two weeks of school:
