Things have been buzzing at Union Mill with the end of the year quickly approaching. Check out some of the photos below from Mrs. Duncan's class receiving a visit from our in house bee keepers. We are also proud of our kindergarteners who put on an amazing performance last week during their "Celebrate America" performance.
If you are looking for some entertainment this evening, we will be hosting our strings concert at 7:00 pm. In addition, students in grades K-6 will have the opportunity to see 4th - 6th grade students perform during the day.
As a reminder, this Friday, May 31st is SCA Spirit Day - Beach Day!

 Field Days are coming soon! Thank you to all of the volunteers who have signed up to help us run the stations! Please plan to arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of the field day event. Check in at the front doors with your driver's license, then you will proceed to the blacktop to get your station information.
- Kindergarteners will participate on Thursday, June 6, from 9:30- 11 am.
- 1st and 2nd graders will play from 1:00 -3:00 pm on Thursday, June 6.
- 5th and 6th graders will play from 9:00-11:00 am on Friday, June 7
- 3rd and 4th will participate from *1:15- 3:00 pm on Friday, June 7.
*Please note the start time of 1:15, as it was originally incorrect on the Sign-up genius. The theme is the Summer Olympics. All students should bring a water bottle with their name on it. PE Field Hockey
Students in 4th through 6th grade had the opportunity to try field hockey in PE classes. Centreville High School's Coach Van Trees along with several of her players taught our students how to hold the stick, dribble, pass, and shoot. They also worked on quickness and agility. We appreciate our guests for taking time out of their schedules and working with our students. If your child is interested, Centreville HS is holding a field hockey camp from July 15-19. More information will be coming out.
2024-2025 - UMES Strings and Band Programs
Current 4th & 5th graders are invited to join the Strings or Band program for next year!
May 31st SCA Spirit Day – Beach Day!
Break out your flip flops (unless you have PE!), flower leis and your tropical themed tees/shirts. No swimsuits please 😊

Final PTA Meeting
Our final PTA meeting of the year will be on Tuesday, June 4th. It will be a virtual meeting. A portion of the meeting will be voting for PTA officers for the 24-25 School Year.
