School Health Room Medication Pick Up

The school health room is reminding parents and guardians that all medication stored in the health room must be picked up no later than the student dismissal time on the last day of school. Medication left in the health room after that time will be destroyed. It is school policy that medications must be picked up by the parent or guardian. Medication cannot be sent home with your student. If your student will be enrolled in a summer program sponsored by Fairfax County Public Schools, the existing medication authorization form(s) may be used for the summer program, but you will need to pick up the medication on the last day of school and deliver the medication and completed forms to the summer learning site  on  the first day of the summer program. Please let the health room know if you would like a copy of the form(s).

If you have any questions, please contact our school health room aide, Tina Buckingham, at tjbuckingham@fcps.edu, or our school public health nurse, Hassan Sesay at hsesay1@fcps.edu.

Collection for Families in Need

A cartoon paper grocery bag smiles and holds canned goods.

Clermont is sponsoring a collection to benefit Koinonia. Koinonia is a local organization which distributes food and other items to families in need in our community. Donations are accepted during the month of May. Donations boxes are in the lobby.

Koinonia specifically requested the following items: condiments, salad dressing, dry pasta, cereal (hot and cold), canned tomatoes, mac and cheese, instant potatoes, canned pasta, canned pea, toothpaste, bath soap, shampoo, tissues, paper towels and TP, brownies, cake and cookie mix

Please avoid glass containers.

Please show you C.A.R.E. by helping others in need. Thank you!!!

Ms. Fowler poses with the cast and crew of the 6th grade play.

BRAVO to the sixth grade cast and crewmembers who put on the production of The Golden Bird, under the direction of Clermont music teacher, Aliyah Fowler. We were blown away by their performance! Thank you to Ms. Fowler and the parent volunteers who devoted many hours to after-school rehearsals and planning to make this play possible.

Schools of Excellence Community Feedback Survey

The Clermont PTA knows that a strong partnership among our families, school leaders and community members is important to the success of our students and school. That’s why we are participating in the National PTA School of Excellence program, which grows partnerships between PTAs and schools to enrich the educational experience and overall well-being of all students.

At a National PTA School of Excellence, families feel welcomed and empowered to support student success, and PTA is a key partner for continuous school improvement. We feel Clermont Elementary School and Clermont PTA can achieve that together—and the result will be national, state and community-wide visibility for the positive impact we are making together at Clermont Elementary School.

We need your help! As part of the process, National PTA requests feedback from families, administrators and teachers at two points in the school year—the beginning and the end. Your feedback will help us improve our family-school partnership and achieve excellence.

Please take 5-10 minutes to reflect on your experience at this school and complete the linked survey.  Select the option that most accurately expresses how you feel about your experience. This survey is completely anonymous. Please complete this survey by Tuesday May 28, 2024.
