What an incredible day of community spirit! Today, principals from each of South Lakes Pyramid schools went on a donation drive, visiting all the schools to collect for the South Lakes Food Pantry. The outpouring of generosity was overwhelming! A huge thank you to everyone who contributed.

Get ready for a busy and exciting end of the year at SVES! Here's a quick look at some key dates to keep on your calendar:

  • SOL Testing:
    • Math: May 21
    • Retakes: May 28-31 (for qualified students)
  • PTA Spirit Night at Chick-fil-A: May 21
  • Last PTA Meeting: May 22
  • 5th Grade Medieval Day: May 31  
  • Memorial Day - School Holiday: May 27
  • 2nd Grade Field Trip to Theater Works at GMU: May 31

🖥️ End-of-Year Assessment Scores

Family score reports for most spring assessments will be centrally distributed to families through SIS ParentVUE, with central mailing ongoing for VKRP assessments. 

  • iReady Grade 1-3 - expected in PVUE the week of 6/3 (non-PVUE delivery by the end of this year)
  • iReady Grade 4-6 - expected in PVUE the week of 6/24 (non-PVUE delivery before the start of next school year)
  • VKRP Grade K - expected central delivery via U.S. Mail the week of 7/8
  • WIDA ACCESS Score Reporting for Families - expected in PVUE the week of 5/28 (non-PVUE delivery by the end of June)

  • Official SOL Score Report: expected in PVUE the week of June 3 (non-PVUE delivery by EOY)
  • NEW“Parent Report” for SOL Growth for grade 3-8 reading and math tests: expected in PVUE by EOY (non-PVUE delivery EOY)

All are welcome to attend the last PTA meeting of the school year on Wednesday, May 22, at 9:30am in the school cafeteria. Join us for pastries, fruit, and beverages to share feedback on this year's PTA programming and suggest ideas for next year. You don't need to be a PTA member to attend. Dr. Michelle Reid has been hosting Community Conversations and Employee Conversations  throughout the division since the fall of this school year. She is committed to getting to know our school communities. 

The dates for the final two Community Conversations are below. These events provide a great opportunity for parents and caregivers to connect with Dr. Reid, share concerns and ideas. She is there to listen and answer your questions. Your voice is important.

We invite you to register for one of the last two community conversations of the school year. Please register for a time and place that is convenient for you. Pre-registration is not required, but does help us plan.
